RECIPE

  1. Lay chicken on a rack. Turn upside down and season with Smoke ‘n Magic Chicken Rub then turn over and repeat on the top side.
  2. Place rack on the smoker at 300 degrees for 45 mins
  3. While the chicken is on the smoker, use 2 sticks of salted butter per half-sheet pan. Cut butter lengthwise and lay it in the bottom of the pan.
  4. Take chicken off the smoker. You do not need to worry about the temperature at this point.  Turn the heat down to 250 degrees. Place chicken in a single layer in the sheet pan on top of the butter. Cover with aluminum foil and place back on the smoker.
  5. Cook covered for 45 min. The final temperature should be 198 degrees for legs-208 for thighs.
  6. Heat Smoke ‘n Magic Sweet BBQ Sauce to 150 degrees.
  7. Dunk chicken in the bbq sauce. Lay onto a rack to set for 2 mins. 
  8. Serve with your favorite side!!
