INGREDIENTS
- Smoke ‘n Magic Sweet BBQ Sauce
- Smoke ‘n Magic Chicken Rub
- Chicken Legs, thighs, or leg quarters
- Salted butter
RECIPE
- Lay chicken on a rack. Turn upside down and season with Smoke ‘n Magic Chicken Rub then turn over and repeat on the top side.
- Place rack on the smoker at 300 degrees for 45 mins
- While the chicken is on the smoker, use 2 sticks of salted butter per half-sheet pan. Cut butter lengthwise and lay it in the bottom of the pan.
- Take chicken off the smoker. You do not need to worry about the temperature at this point. Turn the heat down to 250 degrees. Place chicken in a single layer in the sheet pan on top of the butter. Cover with aluminum foil and place back on the smoker.
- Cook covered for 45 min. The final temperature should be 198 degrees for legs-208 for thighs.
- Heat Smoke ‘n Magic Sweet BBQ Sauce to 150 degrees.
- Dunk chicken in the bbq sauce. Lay onto a rack to set for 2 mins.
- Serve with your favorite side!!
