Ingredients

1 Fresh Atlantic Salmon Filet 

1 Cast Iron Skillet

Coarse Kosher Salt

Coarse Ground Black Pepper

Smoke’n Magic Pork Rub

1 Pizza Oven 


Instructions

  • Cut your salmon into “steaks”
    • Cut the end off of your salmon and then slice into 2-3 inch slices to create salmon “steaks”. We’re leaving the skin on for this recipe, but it’s a matter of personal preference. 
  • Prepare your Pan
    • Take coarse kosher salt and sprinkle it on the bottom of your cast iron pan.
  • Season
    • Place your desired amount of salmon steaks into your pan and sprinkle again with kosher salt.
    • Sprinkle coarse ground black pepper over the top of your salmon steaks.
    • Apply a medium coat of Smoke’n Magic Pork Rub to the top of your salmon steaks.
    • Let sit about 20 minutes until the rub has set in. You’ll know it’s ready once it appears very wet over the top.
  • Cook
    • Cook at 600° for 3 minutes in a pizza oven.
    • Rotate 180° and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
