Ingredients
1 Fresh Atlantic Salmon Filet
1 Cast Iron Skillet
Coarse Kosher Salt
Coarse Ground Black Pepper
1 Pizza Oven
Instructions
- Cut your salmon into “steaks”
- Cut the end off of your salmon and then slice into 2-3 inch slices to create salmon “steaks”. We’re leaving the skin on for this recipe, but it’s a matter of personal preference.
- Prepare your Pan
- Take coarse kosher salt and sprinkle it on the bottom of your cast iron pan.
- Season
- Place your desired amount of salmon steaks into your pan and sprinkle again with kosher salt.
- Sprinkle coarse ground black pepper over the top of your salmon steaks.
- Apply a medium coat of Smoke’n Magic Pork Rub to the top of your salmon steaks.
- Let sit about 20 minutes until the rub has set in. You’ll know it’s ready once it appears very wet over the top.
- Cook
- Cook at 600° for 3 minutes in a pizza oven.
- Rotate 180° and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
