Yeah, this recipe is kind of a big dill! 🥒🍕This pickle pizza combines creamy dill sauce, zesty seasoning, and layers of mozzarella for a flavor-packed bite, finished with a sweet BBQ drizzle.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayo
  • 1 tsp dill
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp ground sea salt
  • 1 tsp pickle juice
  • Thin pickle slices
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Smoke ‘n Magic Chicken Rub
  • Smoke ‘n Magic Sweet BBQ Sauce
  • Flatbread pizza dough (or dough of your choice)
  • Olive oil
  • Baking sheet & parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Make the Sauce
    • In a bowl, combine:
      • 1/2 cup sour cream
      • 1/2 cup mayo
      • 1 tsp dill
      • 1 tsp garlic powder
      • 1/4 tsp black pepper
      • 1/2 tsp ground sea salt
      • 1 tsp pickle juice
    • Stir until smooth and set aside.
  1. Prep the Dough
    • Place your flatbread dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush the edges with olive oil.
  1. Assemble the pizza
    • Spread the sauce evenly over the dough.
    • Pat thinly-sliced pickle slices dry on both sides, to ensure your pizza doesn’t become soggy.
    • Arrange the pickle slices on the sauce.
    • Add a layer of mozzarella, followed by more pickles, then top with another layer of cheese.
    • Sprinkle Smoke ‘n Magic Chicken Rub on top for a zesty kick that pairs perfectly with the pickles. Pro tip: Make sure not to add anything with too much salt, since the pickles and sauce are salty already!
  1. Bake, Finish & Serve
    • Bake in your smoker, oven or pizza oven at 350° F until the toppings are melted and the crust is a nice golden brown
    • Finish it off with a drizzle of Smoke ‘n Magic Sweet BBQ Sauce across the top
    • Let cool slightly, then slice and enjoy!
