Looking for an easy way to use up all those Jalapeños you grew this summer? Bre has you covered with this quick and easy recipe for homemade Strawberry Pepper Jelly! We made a small batch for this video, but the great thing about this recipe is it’s easy to modify and multiply depending on your needs!

Ingredients

  • 10 oz frozen strawberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 medium jalapeños, diced
  • Canning jars

Instructions

  1. Thaw Your Strawberries on the Stovetop
    • Thaw 10 oz of frozen strawberries in a stock pot on medium heat for 5-10 minutes
    • Once thawed, mash until they reach your desired consistency
  1. Create Your Jelly Mixture
    • Add 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tbsp lemon juice, and 2 medium diced jalapeños to the pot
    • Stir and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the temperature of your mixture reaches 220°F
  1. Can the Jelly
    • Using a funnel, measuring cup, or ladle, pour your jelly directly into canning jars
    • Tightly close the lids, and set on the counter to seal and cool
    • Once you hear a “Thunk!” sound, you’ll know the jars are sealed and ready for storage

You can keep these jars in your pantry for up to 2 weeks, or in your fridge for about 6-8 weeks. Of course, if it’s anything like our household, they probably won’t last that long before they’re eaten!

Again, this recipe can be modified in many ways. Swap out the strawberries or jalapeños for your favorite fruits or peppers, and make the perfect jelly for you and your family to enjoy!
